Manage video privacy and account access

How ClipMaster treats uploaded videos, account access, private links, and public share pages.

At ClipMaster, we recognize that your video workflows frequently contain confidential assets, unreleased episodes, client recordings, and raw internal training calls. Protecting this IP is a core priority of our infrastructure. By default, all uploaded media, transcribed text, and rendered clips are completely private to your account.

Data Security & Sharing

A video file or public link is only shared when you explicitly choose to generate a public share link. Be cautious when generating links for embargoed or proprietary client footage.

Our Core Privacy Standards

We enforce strict data isolation protocols across the workspace:

  • Isolated Storage Buckets: All uploaded files are stored in secure, private S3/R2 storage containers that require expiring presigned URLs for playback.
  • Auto-Expiring Previews: Video previews generated during editing expire automatically. They cannot be indexed by search engine crawlers.
  • Opt-In Public Sharing: A clip is only visible to the public if you click "Enable Share Page" for that specific asset.

Privacy Practices for Teams

If you operate a marketing agency or manage multiple brand channels, maintain security boundaries:

Do: Separate workflows by project

Group different client channels and raw video imports into dedicated ClipMaster projects. Use descriptive project names to prevent mixing up assets.

Don't: Reuse public share links

Do not use active public preview links as permanent storage embeds. If a project is deleted or the link is disabled, the embed will immediately break.

Managing Account Credentials

To protect your workspaces from unauthorized access:

  • Limit Member Access: Only invite collaborators who need direct editing access to the workspace.
  • Audit Connected Channels: Regularly review your connected Autopilot feeds. Remove any inactive YouTube feeds or podcast RSS feeds.
  • Revoke Active API Keys: If you utilize the ClipMaster API for automated workflows, rotate your API keys regularly and restrict their scopes to what is necessary.
GDPR & Data Compliance

Need to completely purge your account data? Deleting a project permanently deletes all associated source videos, audio transcripts, and rendered exports from our cloud storage within 24 hours.
