Welcome to ClipMaster. This guide is designed to walk you through our core end-to-end production workflow: starting a new workspace, importing a raw media asset, analyzing and scoring the content, refining candidate selections, and exporting platform-ready assets.

By standardizing this process, you can transform hours of raw video into highly engaging short-form assets in a matter of minutes.

1

Initialize a Project Workspace

Open your dashboard and select New Project. Give your project a clear, searchable name (e.g., Episode-42-Founder-Interview). Structured names make it easy to manage a growing client library.

2

Import Your Source Video

Paste a public video link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) or upload a raw MP4/MOV file. For the highest quality transcriptions and cleanest edit boundaries, ensure the source audio has minimal background noise and clear speaker separation.

3

Trigger the AI Content Engine

Click Generate Clips. ClipMaster's content engine will transcribe the audio, detect semantic transition points, evaluate hook strength, and identify independent clip candidates.

4

Audit Scored Candidates

Review the clip list sorted by the quality score. The score indicates how self-contained the moment is, if it contains an immediate hook, and if it resolves cleanly. Read the AI-generated logic summary for each clip to decide which holds the most value.

5

Review and Edit Caption Timing

Open the preview player to verify visual layout, correct any technical jargon in the auto-transcribed captions, and ensure the caption placement does not cover crucial visual details.

6

Export in Multi-Aspect Formats

Select your target output resolutions. Choose 9:16 vertical for mobile platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), 1:1 square for standard social feeds, or 16:9 widescreen for web landing page embeds. Click Export to render the final files.

What Makes a Clip Scored High?

ClipMaster's scoring model evaluates candidates based on three criteria:

  • The Hook: A clear, high-impact statement within the first 3 seconds.
  • Narrative Unity: A focused discussion of a single topic rather than a rambling conversation.
  • Clean Resolution: A natural, satisfying verbal conclusion that doesn't feel abruptly cut off.

Pro-Level Editing Checklist

Before you download your finished clip and upload it to your socials, ensure it meets these standards:

  • Audio Levelling: Confirm the speaker is clearly audible without clipping or heavy distortion.
  • Safe Zone Margin: Make sure captions sit comfortably above the bottom navigation overlay of mobile apps.
  • Vocabulary Integrity: Double-check that corporate acronyms or proper nouns are spelled correctly in the text overlays.
